Timber - Rough Sawn Timber and Planed Timber

At Real Oak Floors we have a range of both hardwood timber and softwood timber with a full bespoke milling service. Our Oak timber is available kiln dried or air dried. It can be supplied in all thicknesses with the option of waney edged, square edged or prepared, planed boards.

The bespoke wood milling service that we offer includes doors, window sills, tables, fire surrounds, oak beams and many more items are carefully hand crafted to your exact specification and can be provided with the finish of your choice. Mouldings are also available, as well as quality timber flooring, please ask a member of the sales team for full details and prices.

Our Oak timber comes in lengths up to 2 metres long, from 27mm thick and various widths between 100mm and 250mm. It comes direct from the mill in its rough sawn state after being kiln dried to the correct moisture content and is also available waney edged with the bark and sap along the edges, although it can be square edge if required. Although the timber is supplied unfinished we have a finishing service for all our wood products so it can be planed, sanded or finished to your exact specification � pricing available upon request. The boards are character grade which does contain some knots and markings however it is available in a prime grade(by special order)

The timber is eco friendly, meaning our wood comes from sustainable forests which is better for the environment than non eco friendly timbers.

Our Hard timber and softwood timber can also be supplied planed and sanded and may be used for a variety of projects inclding furniture making (solid oak tables enhance any dining room and are a perfect match for your floor), original planks and any other specification where tongue and groove boards are not required.

Our best seller is the French Oak timber - available in 27mm up to 150mm in thickness and widths from 100mm upwards. The French oak is available in rustic or prime grade and is also available in waney edge boards from 20mm in thickness upwards - the waney edge oak timber is not kiln dried unless by request so please ensure you ask for this when you order.
